for Honors Students
Department of Computer Sciences
Effective Spring 2005
The Department of Computer Sciences offers a combined
bachelor's/master's degree program to qualified undergraduates.
Students can shorten the time required for a master's degree by
completing up to six credits of graduate-level graded course work that
can be counted toward both the B.S. and M.S. degrees.
To qualify for this integrated undergraduate/graduate program, students must:
- Attain a GPA of 3.40 or higher when they take the
first graduate course that will apply for both degrees
- Take six graduate-level credits during their final two semesters
of the B.S. program
- Maintain a GPA of 3.40 or higher until they graduate from the
Bachelor's program
- Satisfy all department and graduate school admission requirements
- Inform the department of their intent to pursue the integrated degrees
Any combination of Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or
Software Engineering and Master's of Science in Computer Science or
Software Engineering is available to qualified students.

Similar dual-degree programs are available for students at Florida Tech in other
College of Engineering majors.
