Software for CS Students, Staff, and Faculty

Access DreamSpark

Available to students currently enrolled in at least one CSE or SWE class

• DreamSpark is a Microsoft Program that supports technical education by providing access to Microsoft software for learning, teaching and research purposes. DreamSpark has a collection of Microsoft software offered freely to computer sciences or software engineering students.
• Included in this program is Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2010 and more.
• Note: This does NOT include Microsoft Office. See the offerings from Florida Tech below for where you can get a discounted copy of Office.
• Access starts two weeks before the class begins, and it ends two weeks after the class finishes. This means you won't have access during the summer if you are not enrolled in summer classes.
• If you are currently enrolled in a CSE or SWE class and do not have access to DreamSpark, contact the system administrator.
• If additional help is needed, consult the Help Pages.

Access VMAP

Available to students currently enrolled in at least one CSE or SWE class

• The VMware Academic Program accelerates instruction and research in the rapidly expanding area of virtualized infrastructure by providing faculty and students with access to the virtualization technologies most widely used in commercial production environments.
• Access starts two weeks before the class begins, and it ends two weeks after the class finishes. This means you won't have access during the summer if you are not enrolled in summer classes.
• If you are currently enrolled in a CSE or SWE class and do not have access to VMAP, contact the system administrator.
• If additional help is needed, consult the Help Pages.

• E-Academy - Here you can purchase Microsoft Office at a steep discount, as well as various other software. Make sure you check to see if the software is available through DreamSpark/VMAP first.
• JourneyEd.com - Software discounts provided by the Bookstore, which includes Autodesk Autocad 2009, MS Office 2010, MAC Office 2008, SPSS, Adobe Creative Suite 4, MS Visual Studio 2008.
