When tester's have interviewed with my group, they are often struggling to get a picture of how things work in their potential new job -- what does the organization look like? what tools might I work with? what kind of stuff would I do all day?

I think ScottGu's blog, although a little dated now (it's from 2004), does give a lot of detail on how Microsoft's ASP.NET 2.0 team did things.
