PhD Student Assistantship in Machine Learning / Data Mining

School of Computing at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a PhD student assistantship position that begins in August, 2018. The successful applicant will be strongly motivated in pursuing a PhD degree in computer science and studying in an area related to machine learning and/or data mining. Laboratory for Learning Research (LLR) conducts research in machine learning and data mining and with applications in areas that include computer security, education, and social networks/media. The assistantship will cover tuition and a stipend.

Florida Tech is in Melbourne on the Space Coast, where NASA Kennedy Space Center is located. The campus is a few miles from beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Melbourne is home to a number of high-tech companies such as Harris Corporation, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, and GE.
