Graduate and Undergraduate Research Topics
- I'm always excited about working with intelligent and hard
working students. If you think you are in this category and want to
work under my supervision you should (in this order):
- Check my research
page for my
current research interests.
- Write a research plan and send it to me via email.
- Send me an email requesting an appointment to see me and
discuss your plan.
- I'm a strong believer that students should be able to
produce
publishable results from their research activities. In general, my
expectations for each level are (based on Dr. Chan's
description):
- Undergraduate: No requirements, although they are
encouraged to produce papers to regional conferences of ACM and IEEE.
- Masters: 2 published (or publishable) papers on
peer-reviewed
conferences or journals.
- Doctorate: 5 published (or publishable) papers on
peer-reviewed
conferences or journals.
