Computing Research Objectives

We have identified several areas of computing research which have strategic importance for Florida Tech, the College of Engineering, and the Department of Computer Sciences and Cybersecurity. Within a few years, we expect research and scholarship activities in the areas we have identified as our strengths to be:

• Recognized as superior among all colleges and universities that concentrate in similar areas of research and scholarship;
• Capable of attracting the best and brightest into collaboration with our faculty and students.

We recognize that certain outcomes must be established and measured to determine if we are moving in the right direction and to alter course if not. The set of research outcomes used to measure if the department is meeting its research objectives is documented in Computing Research Outcomes.
