Instillation instructions for Filezilla

1.Download the virtual machine image from this website: [[http://www.thoughtpolice.co.uk/vmware/#ubuntu]]
The recommended version of Ubuntu is 10.04. you can download it from here directly: [[http://sourceforge.net/projects/thoughtpolicevm/files/Ubuntu/ubuntu-server-10.04/ubuntu-server-10.04-i386.zip/download]]

2.Once it's finished downloading, make sure you have Vmware Workstation installed on your computer. If you don't have it, you can download it through Dreamspark

3.Unzip the vmware Image, and open the (.vmx) file, that will give you a clean image of Ubuntu 10.04
The user name for the operating system is: notroot
the password is: thoughtpolice

4. Once you've logged in, go on sudo mode by typing:
sudo su

5.enter the password for the user(thoughtpolice) and you're ready to go. if you want, you can change the password by typing : "passwd", but it's not necessary.

6.start with the stages to compile Filezilla. go to the FileZilla website for instructions: [[https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Cross_Compiling_FileZilla_3_for_Windows_under_Ubuntu_or_Debian_GNU/Linux]]

7.follow the stages, download all the packages. that might take a while...
