- FIT Catalog Course Description:

Principals of software engineering and preparation for productive team
membership.
Team exercises focus on topics such as requirements definition,
change management, project planning, estimating, test planning,
quality assurance and configuration management planning.
- Reading:

The course will begin with Chapter 1 in the book, and continue on through
sequentially. In general, the course will follow the book very closely.
However, supplemental information will be provided as well, primarily in
the form of journal articles.
- Exams:
-
There will be a midterm and a final exam, both are closed book and closed
notes, and both will be in-class.
- Makeups:
-
Unless arrangements are worked out in advance,
missed tests cannot be made up,
and 5 points per day will be deducted
for late project submissions.
If you are forced to miss class on the day something is due,
let me know ahead of time, in writing, preferably by email.
- Grading:

Final grade will be determined as follows (approximately):
assignments - 15%
project - 15%,
midterm - 35%, and
final - 35%.

- 10/9 or 10/16 - Midterm week.
- 10/20 - Last day to drop with a W
- 12/9 - Last day of classes
