Abstract
This talk is about Adhoc network methods of supporting human-to-human communication of the gossip type. Gossip refers to the process of spreading information in a decentralized and probabilistic manner, often modeled after how rumors spread in social networks. Such protocols offer a lightweight, scalable, and fault-tolerant approach to information dissemination. It is an alternative to infrastructure-based communication. Issues include adaptativity, security, performance, and device support.
