Bug 9231: Wireshark capture options window is cut off on low resolution screen¶

Problem¶

Steps to reproduce:
1: Use a 1366x768 or lower resolution display
2: Open wireshark gui
3: Click on "Capture Options" in first column
Observed results:
1: Bottom of window is cut off and unable to see or access those options with mouse.
2: Window cannot be resized smaller than about 761x756 px width*height (not including
titlebar).
3: Workarounds involve using the keyboard and comparing with a screenshot, or enabling
desktop panning.
Expected results:
Capture Options window should be able to be resized even smaller and show scrollbars and/or
redesigned to accommodate lower resolution displays.

Status: Local Solution Found¶

A partial solution has been found which solves the issue down to 720p resolution. This fix is considered sub-optimal and will continue to be developed to work with even lower resolutions.
