Bug 9231: Display byte quantity in more user-friendly format in endpoint and conversation statistics¶

Problem¶

Just an enhancement request: It gets a little hard to visually parse how much traffic a host is generating when it is displayed only in bytes, as the number quickly balloons into the hundreds of millions and eventually trillions of bytes.

It would be much more user-friendly if the display automatically changed to MB once it hit a million bytes, and then GB once it hits a trillion bytes (and so on).

Either that, or have the user choose which format to view the bytes in. I've attached an image of how Capsa does it, and it works very well.

Status: Local Solution Found¶

A partial solution has been found which solves the issue down to 720p resolution. This fix is considered sub-optimal and will continue to be developed to work with even lower resolutions.
