Selected Bugs and Feature Requests¶
Feature Request: Currently Pidgin does not properly mute sounds when the status is set to "Do not disturb". (On a related note, the libnotify plugin ignores DND and submits notifications anyway, even though I said "only when available".)
one feature I'm missing a lot is a possibility to have a sound (ring tone) assigned to the incoming audio/video call. Incoming doesn't even force the URGENT hint.
Defect: When I copy something from a webpage and paste it into an IM window, all my formatting, except the background is erased. Ok, that's fine. When I push enter though, my default formatting is not reset, as it should be. My text size and text color both stay screwed up.
Defect: Entering a password that contains any of the above mentioned "Umlauts" does not work on Pidgins MS Windows version (2.0.2 german) when using an ICQ channel.
Feature Request: When trying to find a contact with a keyword that doesn't match any online buddies, show the offline buddies as well. This could greatly improve the usability of the contact list.
Defect: When someone offers me a file, the notification dialog allowing me to accept the transfer opens below all other windows, and does not register for the taskbar/window list/Alt-Tab window switching.Resolved in latest version
Feature Request: Would be nice to have hot key for strike through, as there is one for bold, italics, underline, etc.
