Major Components
Notes:
Most research will have these sections.
Sometimes the titles are different, but the information is still there.
Abstract is what you read to decide if you want to read more. It shows up on electronic databases. When you do your publications or dissertation - you’ll want to write a good abstract.
It’s common for the Introduction to flow right into the Literature Review.
Qualitative research usually doesn’t have a hypothesis…at least not at the start.
The summary of results section will be very factual.
Discussion and conclusion will often sometimes have the researcher’s opinions and even suggestions for future research. At least in education, they often reflect on the results and how the study went.
