The researchers should be fully described. Often, the researcher is the critical key to a qualitative study. Credentials and training are important.
Biases - Sometimes you can tell if there is bias by language and tone.
Interaction - Should be as unobtrusive as possible. May have to watch for interaction between males/females or different age groups or different ethnicities.
Information about the training of observers is very important. You’re looking for consistency between observers.
